Existential Crisis: Foreword by Kit Carruthers
Don't give up on this one, it ends in nihilism. You'll pretend to think you've snapped on the answer, you've found the secret at the centre of everything for pretend, pretend to go deeper and deeper as you get more and more derealized and depersonalized. You'll think it feels really cool and empty, you'll want more.

It has meaning, it does. What has happened to you is you have been loaded full of all sorts of different societal standards on definition of meaning. You realize you need to reject some of them and now you realize you have a whole lot of thinking to do... All of these other concepts of meaning are things we have invented, maybe the entire concept of meaning is invented. It isn't. If within your perception nothing matters, it's just the chemical imbalance known as depression. Even... If... We lived in the stupid reality with no objective matters hammering down on top of us, which is fucking stupid, even if you're an atheist, you're obviously trapped behind some fucked up perceptual filters, all you need is you can do a thing that you feel matters, find the people it matters to.

Oh shit whoops. I think you just accidentally created the objective matters. But now you're probably doing that whimpering pathetic "I found my OWN meaning. You can find your OWN meaning..." So you're still probably still pretty depressed.

You will note, this entire time, you were never able to drive your existential crisis right in there and believe you're really experiencing it, you just kept overemphasizing to everybody your deep philosophical struggle. It may have only been semi-conscious, it was likely fully conscious. Shut up.
